It was early, the cool September morning still wrapped in the gentle quiet that only sunrise brings. As I set up my camera in front of the Maryville City Municipal Building, the air held a certain crispness, the kind that signals the changing seasons. The streets were nearly deserted, save for the occasional car passing by, its tires crunching on the asphalt. The red-bricked building loomed before me, dignified in its symmetry, the morning light just beginning to brush its facade with soft golden hues.

Photographing government buildings at sunrise presents its own unique challenges. The light, while fleeting and soft, can cast deep shadows and change with the slightest movement of the sun. Capturing the essence of the Maryville Municipal Building, with its towering columns and stately presence, required patience and precision.
